Studies of the marine phytoplankton biology and physiology: Field studies of in situ grothw rate patterns on dinoflagellates. Studies on the life history and funtional biology on dinoflagellates. Population dynamics of dinoflagellate blooms with physical and biological processes.Monitoring of harmful algae events. Skills
I am interested in plankton dynamics and physical-biological interactions in marine systems, particularly noxious and toxic phytoplankton species, their abundance and activity, and the ecosystem effects of their proliferations. This involves the study of these species and the factors that regulate their abundance, the factors that regulate the community structure of microorganisms, and how physical and chemical changes in the marine environment influence these parameters.
