Activities
During my internship at Sea Search, I engaged in a variety of activities that significantly enhanced my skills and knowledge. I worked closely with seals, treating their injuries and wounds, which provided hands-on experience in marine animal care. I also participated in Cape Cormorant nest restoration projects aimed at combating marine pollution, where I learned about habitat restoration and conservation techniques. Additionally, I conducted bioacoustic recordings of various bird species, gaining insights into their communication patterns and behaviors. I also assisted in deploying a hydromorph, which involved setting up and monitoring equipment to study water movement and quality. These experiences allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of marine ecology and conservation practices.
