Officially, I work in the Public Weather Services–Department of Meteorology as a weather forecaster. We provide weather forecasts and warning advisory for extreme weather phenomena such as heavy rainfall, flash flood, forest fire, detection of volcanic ash, and tropical cyclones. Main responsibility are monitoring the production process of weather information. I have to make sure that the forecaster in the regional offices has finished inputting the weather forecast to the system. Assisting the forecaster, in case they face difficulty, such as the web-based application to input the forecast could be accessed or they need a specific product for the stakeholder, I help them how to solve the problem. I will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting weather data to produce accurate and timely weather forecasts in the Indonesia area and provide design resources for the specific product. We make reports and ensure the delivery of high-quality weather information to various stakeholders, including the public, governmental agencies, and private sectors.
