  • Fieldwork. Over 350 dives using SCUBA, ample sampling experience in both terrestrial and aquatic environments. I have lived in isolated settings for more than twelve consecutive months conducting research that involved physical and mentally demanding tasks.
  • Over 10 years of experience organizing and implementing international field campaigns for surveys in terrestrial and marine environments.
  • Over 15-years’ experience designing and implementing field surveys and experiments in: coral reefs, rocky shores, seagrass, mangrove, soft sediments as well as in fisheries and biological oceanography. In terrestrial environments, I have field experience coordinating surveys to assess reptiles, small mammals and bird biodiversity in tropical forests (Amazon and Borneo) and bushland/savanna (Kenya and Guyana Massif).
