i am pursuing my Phd in Marine Sciences under the supervision of Dr. Baban Ingole at CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography. For my doctoral work , I am studying the coral patches along the West coast of India. Here, i study the biodiversity, threats and mapping of highly understudied reefs. I am a licensed PADI-ADVANCE SCUBA diver. My activities include organizing field trips to the reefs and studying the reefs using the aide of SCUBA, following the standard protocols. i study the coral diversity, the associated threats assessment like undertaking bleaching and disease monitoring programmes and laboratory analysis of the samples. I have identified a coral disease from west coast and published in in Diseases of aquatic organisms. I am also mapping these reefs using the tools of GIS and remote sensing and working on the inventory of biodiversity assessment of coral reefs from Central  west coast of India.
