I am working in the Western Caribbean Sea that includes the Yucatan channel (the entrance to the Gulf of Mexico from the Caribbean) towards Honduras. Observational coastal oceanography by using of mooring instruments, field data collection, hydrographic and currents data from oceanographic cruises in the Mesoamerican Reef.
Research Interest: Cross-Shelf exchange, thermohaline structure and circulation
in reef systems and estuaries, physical oceanographic processes and marine resources,
biophysical coastal processes (connectivity), coastal altimetry.

I am a physical oceanographer based on a research center located in the Mexican Caribbean ECOSUR (El Colegio de la Frontera Sur -Unidad Chetumal) from the Mexican Council of science and technology called CONACyT. ECOSUR is a multidisciplinary center that focus on conservation and biodiversity, also social aspects.
