Activities
Since established in 1871, the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Department, Japan Coast Guard (JHOD) has been engaged in carrying out various marine surveys and observations, including hydrographic, oceanographic, geodesic, and astronomical surveys and observations. Results of these data and information obtained are made available to mariners and other users in general.
