Following the successful launch of the Caribbean Ocean Literacy Program at the SIDS4 Conference in Antigua and Barbuda last May, we are pleased to invite you to join us at the first meeting of the IOCARIBE Ocean Literacy Task Team to be held on 15 November, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 am Colombian Time (COT).
The Workplan of the IOCARIBE Ocean Literacy Task Team is the following:
- Ocean Literacy for The Tourism and Fisheries Sectors in each country;
- Establishment of an IOCARIBE Region-Wide network of Blue Schools; and
- Development of a new Blue Curriculum for primary and secondary schools across the Region.
We look forward to your active participation in this first meeting and we will discuss the plans of each country for the three components listed above.
