ICG/PTWS Steering Committee Meeting
Summary
Established in 2005 by the IOC Assembly through Resolution XXIII-13, the Intergovernmental Coordination Group for the Pacific Tsunami Warning and Mitigation System (ICG/PTWS) includes a PTWS Steering Committee (PTWS SC) which act in an advisory capacity to the Chair of the ICG/PTWS during the inter-sessional period. It coordinates and integrate the work of ICG/PTWS in the inter-sessional periods, as implemented through the various technical and regional working groups and task teams, including but not limited to:
a) Maintain the PTWS Medium Term Strategic Plan
b) Monitor, maintain and update the PTWS Implementation Plan
c) Develop a Strategy for funding PTWS activities
d) Monitor the performance of the PTWS
The Steering Committee will meet during 18-20 September 2024, followed by the dedicated ICG/PTWS WG and TT meetings on 16-17 September 2024, as reflected in the Draft Agenda and Draft Timetable documents provided on this site. Presentations and documentations related to the Steering Committee will be available under the respective agenda items, whereas presentations and documentations of the WG and TT meetings will be available under the Documents section.
