Summary

Phase 2c of the UNESCAP-funded project on "Strengthening Tsunami Warning in the Northwest Indian Ocean through Regional Cooperation" will be launched on wednesday 15th November. This kick-off meeting will highlight the project's objectives and workplan. The main focus will be on training in tsunami inundation mapping and tsunami evacuation planning. Outcomes from the earlier phases of the project will be utilised to develop tsunami evacuation plans for previously agreed Pilot Communities.
